Special Features
* The Hamline University collaboration provides on-campus experiences and interactions with university students and faculty. Each grade level is paired with a different Hamline University department to ensure that elementary students have a variety of university experiences. In addition, students benefit from help from Hand-In-Hand mentors, America Reads and America Counts tutors, student teachers and guest speakers. Elementary students also have access to university facilities including the library, gym, swimming pool, theater and more.

* Hancock has a full-day kindergarten program

The school has an eMac computer lab with 35 student computers and a brand new portable wireless iBook lab , and computers with Internet in every classroom.

Area Learning Center (ALC) is an after school program to help support academic and social skills.

The Enrichment (SEM) offers a fast-paced, challenging academic program and various activities.

Students read independently during daily Reader's Workshop. Teachers and Hamline students also read individually with students.
