Hello! My name is Diane Smith. I believe that Hancock/Hamline is a wonderful school. I believe this so much that my son, Isaiah attended Hancock/Hamline from Kindergarten to 6th grade and my daughter, Kiley, has attended school here since kindergarten and is now in 5th grade. I have taught for over 21 years, all in the St. Paul School district. I have taught 2nd grade, 6th grade, and 5th grade. I did my undergraduate work for my Bachelors of Science degree in Elementary Education at MN State University- Mankato. I completed my Masters of Science degree in Curriculum and Instruction at St. Cloud State University. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family. We enjoy many outdoor activities such as rollerblading, ice skating, swimming, and hiking. My favorite thing to do is fishing on Minnesota lakes. I also enjoy traveling, mainly to Northern Minnesota, Northern Idaho, and Mexico. Of course, I love teaching and I think the students and families at Hancock are wonderful.
