Welcome to school year 2009-2010! The summer went by so fast; as I write this, it is Fall. We are off to a fast start. Teachers are learning all the skills of their students so that they can devise their educational plan.
We have added new opportunities such as AVID for 4th, 5th, and 6th grades; Mondo, our new reading curriculum in Kindergarten through 5th grades; Number Worlds, a new math intervention and enrichment curriculum for 2nd through 6th grades; and, Minnesota Reading Corps, a one-on-one fluency tutoring program for Kindergarten through 3rd grade. There will be more about these in our future newsletters.
There are new staff as well and you will learn more about them in this newsletter. It is great to have such talented people join our staff to serve your children. Enjoy their biographies and feel free to introduce yourself when you visit school.
