This weekend is Thanksgiving, an American holiday celebrating the gifts of food that the Indians gave to the settlers that allowed them to survive their first winter in America. The holiday has become a time for people to give and receive support from others. The Hancock community continues to help our families and others around the world in their time of need. Our students have collected over $600 for children; a benefactor has given a gift to help our 6th graders attend Camp St. Croix, the Hamline University students collected food for Hancock families during their Halloween campaign, a dental clinic will be available at Hancock in the near future....
We are humbled by the generosity of so many people! I hope you enjoy the holiday time with your family and friends, and continue to support others in the ways within your means.
