| Meet Mrs. Rickey |  | My name is Karen Rickey. I have a Bachelor's degree from the College of St. Catherine and a Master's degree from the University of St. Thomas. I've been teaching in St. Paul for 30 years. I have taught learning disabled students in K-8, second grade, and first grade. My passion is teaching young children. I strive to help children build their self-esteem and to love coming to school everyday. The smile on a child's face when he/she has learned a new concept is the greatest reward for me. I enjoy spending time with my family and pets. We like camping, biking, golfing and going to baseball games. During my alone time I live to read and garden.
