Welcome to the Learning Center
The Hancock Learning Center is a program designed for special education students. We specialize in modeling and helping students develop skills and strategies to maximize their learning potential. Our students work on school success skills every day. We have four classrooms and we service children in kindergarten through sixth grade. We have four teachers, several teaching assistants, educational assistants, and a school social worker that assist with our program. The Learning Center uses Readers and Writers Workshop and Everyday Math. Students have gym every day with Coach Bonnie. Students also have the opportunity to swim at Hamline University 2 times per month. In addition, our grant from Valley Branch allows us to take five field trips per year to participate in outdoor learning experiences.
