Hi. My name is Shirley Devine. I have been a special education teacher in St. Paul for more than 25 years, the last 15 at Hancock. I grew up in St. Paul and attended Highland Park Elementary, Jr. and Sr. High Schools. After graduating from the University of Oklahoma with a B.S. degree in Special Education, I taught at a number of Jr. and Sr. High Schools in St. Paul before coming to Hancock.
What I most enjoy about teaching at Hancock is the enthusiasm and excitement I see in the faces of children as they are learning to read.
My outside interests include being with my family, reading, Jazzercise, riding my bike around Minneapolis lakes, gardening and playing with my dog Skippy.
