Hi! I'm Heather Kerestes, a 4th-6th Grade ELL teacher here at Hancock. I grew up in Wisconsin and received my B.A. in German Language, Literature and Culture from the University of MN. During my studies I spent two years at Phillips Universitaet in Marburg, Germany. Before entering the educational field, I worked for several years in accounting and seven months as a long-term substitute teaching high school German. Since receiving my ESL and German licenses in 2005 I have worked in St. Paul schools teaching ESL and thoroughly enjoy every minute of it! I also enjoy traveling, playing my flute, jogging and playing tennis, cooking and baking, gardening, reading and spending time with family and friends.
