 | | Ms. Wittman | My name is Julia Wittman. I was born and raised in St. Paul, Minnesota. I am the youngest of 4 girls to my mom and dad. I've lived in the St. Paul area all my life. I live only about 3 miles from where I grew up. My sisters and their famlies also live in the Twin Cities area. I went to Central Luthern School K-8th, then onto Concordia Academy for 9-12th.
I worked to get my Early Childhood Assistant Teaching Certificate. I continually work to get inservice credits through out the year to help in on-going education. I have worked with children all my life. I started when one of my older sisters was a teacher at Glendale Child-Development Center. I volunteered starting out when I was 10 years old. When I was old enough I started working there and I worked there my High School days and College days until I received my Early Childhood Assistant Teaching Certificate. I worked there as an Assistant teacher until the birth of my oldest daughter in 1983. I also have another daughter who was born in 1987.
I was a stay at home mom for awhile. When my youngest daughter went to 1st grade I started with the St. Paul Public Schools in 1993. I worked at Chelsea Hights from 1993 until 2004. This is my 3rd year at Hancock Elementary School. I really enjoy working at Hancock! The staff here are exceptional people to work with, and the children are great. I am currently working with Kindergarten, Second, Sixth, and Fourth grades. As with all the TA's here I also do Lunch room / Playground duties. See you around Hancock, take care!
