Computer Technology Applications
Students in grades 1-6 visit the computer lab in our prep rotation for 50 minutes, 5 days in a row.   1-3 grade students are taught by Mr. Maloy, and 4-6 grade students are taught by Ms. Wilson.  Students practice their skills to meet the technology standards in the following areas:  basic operations, graphics, keyboarding, word processing, spreadsheet, database and multi-media.  We also discuss ethical issues with computers and technology. Our lab has 35 new eMac computers running the operating system 10.4 tiger.  All lessons are integrated with classroom studies, to teach computer standards. The software programs used include:  Safari, Firefox, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Power Point, Microsoft Excel, Appleworks, i-Photo, I-Movie, Keynote, Pages, Type to Learn, KidPix, Microworlds, Kidspiration and Inspiration.
