| A Message from Ms. Abrams | | Dear Families:
I always say that I am surprised by the fact that this is the end of our regular school year. It is amazing how fast our time together flies. I am noticing the new maturity so many students are displaying. They are a terrific bunch of kids and I am privileged to work with them and their families.
My message at the end of the year needs to include the importance of attendance at summer school for those that are planning to come. For everyone, please keep your children reading, listening to reading, and talking about all their interests. In the Fall we sometimes notice a loss of skill from a lack of practice over the summer.
And don’t forget math...adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing...give them real life problems to solve...at the grocery store, gas station, restaurants....Remember, we are in a partnership with you to prepare your child for their future.
I can’t let this opportunity pass without saying that I am worried about all of you and the state of the economy at this time. I wish you all the ability and resources to cope with housing and prices and all the things that none of us can control. Next year we will continue to offer free breakfast for all our students. This helps a little bit.
Please enjoy your summer! Stay safe!
Sincerely, Marjorie Abrams Principal
