I'm Virginia Porter and I've taught 3rd grade at Hancock for 21 years.
I like to call my students "Porter's Perfect Pupils". Kids really are my
business and I know that someday, when I retire I'll SO miss being with
children every day.
I graduated from Augustana College with a B.A. in Rock Island, Illinois.
I've taken graduate courses from Hamline University. I began my teaching
in Illinois, then traveled to Berlin, Germany, for a year at the Berlin
American Elementary School. St. Louis Park, MN was next for me and
now, here I am. Where has the time gone?
Obviously I love to travel. I also enjoy reading, doing things out in my
yard, cooking, and being with my family and friends. I have two grown
married daughters (no grandchildren yet). I've loved my years at Hancock
with a wonderful staff and terrific kids. They're all "perfect" to me!
